Property/Money Releases

Getting Your Stuff Back After Jail:

  • When leaving jail, you have to get rid of all your belongings except clothes.
  • You can pick who gets your stuff: lawyer, public defender, probation officer, or someone else.
  • Tell them where to pick it up (they’ll need a valid ID, like a driver’s license).
  • Before moving to prison, fill out a form:
    • Choose: everyone can get your stuff, or only one person.
    • Don’t pick anyone. Your stuff gets thrown away after 30 days.
  • While in jail, you can also get rid of things from your cell. Do it before moving to prison or it’s gone!
  • You can take out all your jail money within 3 days of arriving. After that, you need the boss’s permission.

Bonds & Fines

  • If the inmate has another hold like from immigration or another police department, paying the bond won’t get them released.
  • Call the Sheriff’s office at 602-876-0322 before paying if you have any questions. You’ll need the inmate’s booking number, or their full name and birthday if you don’t have it.
  • Once you pay a bond, you can’t get a refund.
  • If you pay more than $10,000, you’ll need to give your social security number. This is a law.
  • You can pay with cash, cashier’s check, money order, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover). There’s a fee for credit card payments, and they can’t be more than $10,000 (including the fee).

Video Visitation Information

Only video visits are allowed: You can’t visit in person right now. You can see your loved one with a video call instead.

You can visit as much as you want: There’s no limit on how many video visits you can do unless there’s a special reason.

It costs money: You have to pay to do a video visit.

Here’s how to set it up:

  1. Create an account on their website: www.gettingout.com
  2. You can visit between 7 am and 9:30 pm every day.
  3. Each visit lasts 30 minutes.

If your account gets suspended:

  • If you get banned from video visits and you think it’s a mistake, you can appeal.
  • Fill out this form within 14 days: [Link to form]
  • Be sure to answer all the questions and fill it out completely.
  • They’ll review your appeal, but it doesn’t mean they’ll let you back in.
  • You can only appeal once per account.
