Phoning An Inmate At The Mohave County Jail
- People locked up in the jail can make phone calls during the day.
- They can only call landlines (no cell phones!) and the calls will be collect calls, meaning the person receiving the call pays.
- If you want to talk to someone in jail, you can’t call them directly.

Visiting An Inmate At The Mohave County Jail
To visit someone in jail, you must:
- Dress politely. Look neat, and avoid revealing clothes.
- Be 18 years old or older. Younger kids (10-17) can visit with a parent or guardian (bring proof!).
- Bring a valid ID. They need to know who you are.
- Be checked for criminal records. They’ll make sure you’re safe to visit.
- Get searched before entering. No weapons or hidden anything allowed.
- Leave your stuff outside. Lockers are provided for bags, phones, etc.
- Follow instructions. Staff will guide you through the process.
- Wait your turn. Only one person per visit booth at a time.
- Keep it short. Visits are 20 minutes max.
- Behave yourself. No yelling, fighting, or damaging anything.
Important things to remember:
- All visits are recorded.
- Violating the rules means no more visits for you.
- Being on parole or probation might prevent you from visiting.
