Visitation Guidelines and Hours
Scheduling:

- Tell them your name, who you’re visiting, and when you’d like to go.
- They’ll email you to confirm the date and time.
Rules:
- Everyone needs a valid ID with their picture (like a driver’s license).
- Dress nicely! Nothing too revealing or with bad words.
- They might check your bags before you go in.
- No phones, bags, or recording devices are allowed.

Inmate Communications
The Gila County Jail lets inmates make calls to stay in touch, but there are some rules:
- You can receive the call and pay for it, or the inmate can use a prepaid account you set up online.
- Jail workers listen to most calls, except lawyer calls.
- Calls might be short so everyone gets a turn.
- Inmates can’t get calls, just make them.
- Breaking the rules means losing phone privileges.
Want to top up an inmate’s calling account?
- Go online to the Securus Technologies website or call them at 1-800-844-6591. You’ll need their booking number and last name.
Got a problem with the calls?
- Call the jail at (928) 402-1875, but they can’t deliver messages to inmates.
Inmate Mail
What to write on the envelope:
- Their full name
- Gila County Jail
- 1100 South Street
- Globe, AZ 85501
- Your full return address (so they can write back!)
Tips:
- Use plain paper envelopes, no fancy stuff.
- Jail workers will open and check the letter for anything unsafe.
- Don’t write anything mean or inappropriate.
- No paper clips, staples, or metal things.
- No photos, money, or anything else not allowed (they’ll throw it away).
- Mean or threatening letters get thrown out and could even get them in trouble.
Sending Money to Inmates
Online: Easy peasy! Go to the Securus Technologies website and put in their booking number and last name.
Mail: Send a money order (not cash!) with their full name and booking number written on it to the jail’s address:
Gila County Jail 1100 South Street Globe, AZ 85501
In-person: Stop by the jail’s front desk with a money order.
Important things to remember:
- They can only have $200 in their account at a time. Anything extra will be sent back to you.
- Don’t send cash! It’ll just get sent back or put in their stuff.
- If you mess up the address or forget the booking number, the jail won’t be responsible for lost money.
- When they get released, you can follow the jail’s process to get any leftover money back.
